Make-a-wish rainbow flower

I know that everyone would like to have a little magic in their life. If you had a flower that could make your wish come true—what would you do?

When I came across a rare and amazingly shaped flower in the forest, I remembered a childhood story about the Make-a-Wish Rainbow Flower. In the tale, a little girl is given a magical flower with seven rainbow-colored petals. Each time she tears one off, she can make a wish, and it immediately comes true. She is so thrilled that she frivolously uses six wishes on small, meaningless things. Only when she is left with the final petal does she truly pause and think about the right wish to make.

In this series, through a visual image—perhaps a little strange and unusual—I speak about the importance of conscious choice. A truly personal, conscious choice may also seem unusual or strange to others. For me, it is a choice that arises from a deep inner sense of “I know,” when the mind and feelings are in harmony. When we choose otherwise, we find ourselves in a kingdom of trick mirrors— a world of cognitive and rational distortions.

We face choices every day. But only conscious decisions have the power to invite a miracle into our lives.
